Experience the Canadian wilderness firsthand at Fairmont Kenauk at Le Chateau Montbello resort. Animals roam freely here on one of the continent's largest and most carefully protected wilderness habitats. Fish, hunt, canoe and hike, all from the splendid isolation of your own cabin in this stunning Montbello resort. At the Fairmont Kenauk, the balance and preservation of this spectacular wilderness is preserved by staff biologists, ensuring the experience for every guest and those guests to arrive in years to come.
Tucked into the woodlands, Fairmont Kenauk at Le Chateau Montebello is a pure nature retreat. For guests to fully experience the wilderness, we offer secluded first-class chalets, with one to six bedrooms. Each private cabin comes equipped with propane lights, stove, furnace and hot water tank. All cabins are off the electrical grid so solar panels power the high efficiency refrigerator and water pump. Ten cabins have a spacious screened porch. Each cabin also has its own unique location attributes like nearby waterfalls or superb views. While there is no cell phone coverage at Fairmont Kenauk and the only blackberries grow on bushes, most cabins have some communication with the entrance gate using two-way radios and there is a pay phone at the Whitefish Lake Picnic site.

Although there are no restaurants at Fairmont Kenauk, all the chalets have kitchens and propane barbeques. And a popular choice with chalet guests for at least one dinner or perhaps the famous Sunday Brunch is Aux Chantignoles, the main restaurant at Fairmont Le Château Montebello. This is without doubt, the best dining in the area, with full service for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The resort also has a bistro bar.
For the ultimate retreat, there's no better place than Fairmont Kenauk at Le Chateau Montebello. To lighten your load when packing, we provide fresh linens, towels and all kitchen and cooking utensils. All you need to bring is your clothing and food - or if you believe luck is on your side, plan on catching a fish for supper!
